How to Get More Clients in 2020

If you're like most business owners, you want to be able to get more clients consistently.  If you're one of those business owners, keep reading, as we'll tell you step-by-step how to get more clients in 2020.

1. Get Your Website Created or Redone

This may sound like a later step, but a lot of how you're found online is through search engines.  If you don't have a website, how are you going to be found as easily?  If your website isn't professional, how will you keep people on your website?  Therefore, almost every activity to get more clients should be based around your website, as this is where you'll refer people to in order to get people to convert as clients.

2. Get Your Website SEO Performed on a Regular Basis

Many companies get a website designed but fail to budget for SEO to be done for them (SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization).  It's essential, if you wish to be found on the Internet, that you use an SEO service to increase visibility on the Internet.  Search engines change their algorithms sometimes several times per year and, at that point, you can lose a lot of traffic, so you'll want to be sure you have it regularly optimized.

3. Consistently Write Longer Blogs

Another similar activity to SEO is Content Marketing.  This means getting people onto your website through something like a blog.  Blogs used to be a way individuals could write about a topic of their choice, but now it's an essential way for businesses to get more views on their website from organic traffic on search engines and social media.  With the arrival of social media in the past decade, content marketing has become more and more essential, but it's also harder and harder to attract search engines to show your blog post on the first page (which is really only where you're going to get organic traffic from).  However, there is a plus side as well, as search engines also like fresh content and promote them readily.

4. Get In Their Inbox

Have you heard of some businesses with many subscribers?  People don't usually readily give their email address to receive tips in their never-ending inbox.  How do they do it then?  They earn people's trust by sending them something that will benefit them, in exchange for their email address and the ability to send them newsletters in the future.  This is called a lead magnet.  It doesn't have to be very fancy, but it should be well-done and well-written, as you are hoping these people will be your clients in the future.  It needs to represent your brand well.

5. Another Free Method

Social media is becoming a very quick and easy way to be seen.  Since people follow companies they're interested in, getting a regularly engaged community of people interested in your brand is irreplaceable.  Be sure to post at least twice a week, hopefully more, in order to best use the tool of social media for your brand.  Unfortunately, algorithms may not go in your favor sometimes.  Also, be sure that people who are interested in your brand are the ones who like it.  Social media algorithms sometimes are set up to show posts to people who engage more, so if you have a community that doesn't engage, algorithms may pick up on that and you may lose an audience.

6. Consistently Advertise on Social Media

Now that we've talked about many organic methods of getting traffic (that can convert into clients), it's important to also use paid methods as well.  Optimizing your social media ads is a simple, but effective, way to grow your business by attracting potentially qualified leads to take action.  Depending on how you do it, they may also be ready to buy, especially if you use Google Adwords to show an ad in a search result.  Make sure that you follow the rules of the advertising methods that you use, as you don't want your ads to be rejected.

Put It Into Practice

None of this article does you any good, unless you put it into practice.  If you want to try it on your own, you're welcome to, but we are available to talk with you about it and come up with a personalized price quote and offer to help you put this into practice (possibly along with more services).  If you are interested in getting more clients, visit here and fill out the form.

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6).
